Cette Assemblée n’avait dès lors d’autre choix que d’aider à la création de ce Fonds, mais il eût été préférable que le Conseil attribue des fonds budgétaires plus importants destinés à la restructuration et à la modernisation à long terme, et à la création d’emplois dans certaines régions et certains secteurs. Par conséquent, le rapporteur, Mme Bachelot-Narquin, mérite vraiment notre gratitude pour avoir - face à la résistance de cette Assemblée et du Conseil - fait en sorte qu’un projet contenant de réelles améliorations puisse devenir dès la première lecture la base juridique de ce Fonds.
This House was then left with no option other than to help establish this fund, but it would have been better if the Council had topped up the Budget with more money for the long-term restructuring and modernisation of, and job creation in, regions and sectors, so the rapporteur, Mrs Bachelot-Narquin, really does deserve gratitude for having – in the face of resistance from both this House and the Council – ensured that a draft with real improvements in it can become, in a single reading, the legal basis for this Fund.
