C'est ainsi que la Commission a indiqué qu'elle pouvait accepter en tout ou en partie nombre d'amendements dont quelques-uns sont significatifs, notamment relatifs à : - une information plus régulière du Parlement européen concernant l'action structurelle de la Communauté, y inclus par des communications de ses décisions et par le renforcement du contenu des rapports annuels, dans le respect cependant de la compétence de chacune des institutions en matière de gestion; - une meilleure prise en compte des autres politiques communautaires, y inclus la politique de l'environnement selon les principes du développement durable, l'égalité des chances entre hommes et femmes, etc .; - une méthode plus explicite de désignation des zones éligibles aux objectifs n 2 et 5b qui met en exergue l'implication des Etats membres; - une plus grande transparence dans les allocations des crédits entre les Etats membres.
Hence the Commission could accept completely or in part a large number of amendments, some of which were significant, particularly those relating to: - more regular information to Parliament concerning the Community's structural measures, including decisions taken, and improvements to the contents of the annual reports, while respecting the management responsibilities of each institution; - taking greater account of other Community policies, including environmental policy following the principles of sustainable development, equal opportunities for men and women, etc.; - a more clear-cut method of designating the areas eligible under Objectives 2 and 5(b) which stresses the role played by the Member States; - greater transparency in the allocation of appropriations between the Member States.
