I doubt Parliament would ever have considered yielding to someone a claim as spurious, and I don't say this with any malice or forethought, and I say so respectfully.But if you are going to give to a particular constituency massive powers that make it almost impossible to recover competitive forces, or juices, that once existed, the first thing we ought to consider is whether it is in the broader public interest.
