− (EN) Monsieur le Président, avant toute chose, c’est un privilège pour la commission du marché intérieur et de la protection des consommateurs d’accueillir notre nouveau commissaire, Michel Barnier, au premier de ces échanges qui, j’en suis convaincu, seront nombreux au sein de cette Assemblée et, notamment, parce qu’il est passé sans heurts de son siège, là-derrière, à ce siège, ici devant, en deux jours.
− Mr President, first of all it is a privilege on behalf of the Committee on Internal Market and Consumer Protection to welcome our new Commissioner Michel Barnier for the first time to what I am sure will be many interchanges across the floor of this House, and particularly because he has moved seamlessly from his seat over there to his seat at the front in two days.
