Enfin, après avoir vaincu l’intransigeance du Conseil concernant des aspects que le Parlement a toujours considérés essentiels, notamment dans le domaine de l’enveloppe financière du programme, de la participation et du soutien financier aux ONG, du rôle du Parlement européen et de l’encouragement d’approches innovatrices, il y a eu un long processus incluant une deuxième lecture le 17 mai de cette année, plusieurs réunions de travail avec la présidence belge et la conciliation, qui a permis enfin d’aboutir à un consensus le 18 septembre.
Lastly, after overcoming the Council’s intransigence on aspects that Parliament has always considered to be essential, specifically with regard to the programme’s budget, the participation of NGOs and financial support for them, the role of the European Parliament and the promotion of innovative approaches, we have reached the end of a long process that includes a second reading on 17 May this year, various working meetings with the Belgian presidency and conciliation, in which, finally, consensus was reached on 18 September.
