Elle doit accorder une attention particulière aux domaines suivants: libre circulation des marchandises, droit de la propriété intellectuelle, société de l'information et médias, agriculture et développement rural, sécurité alimentaire, politique vétérinaire et phytosanitaire, pêche, politique des transports, politique sociale et emploi, politique régionale et coordination des instruments structurels, appareil judiciaire et droits fondamentaux, justice, liberté et sécurité et contrôle financier.
Particular attention should be paid to the areas of free movement of goods, intellectual property law, information society and media, agriculture and rural development, food safety, veterinary and phyto-sanitary policy, fisheries, transport policy, social policy and employment, regional policy and coordination of structural instruments, judiciary and fundamental rights, justice, freedom and security and financial control.
