A. whereas the protests which started in Lhasa on 10 March 2008, the 49th anniversary of the failed Tibetan national uprising against the Chinese administration, and then spread to other inhabited areas of Tibet were followed by a brutal crackdown by the Chinese police and security forces on anyone suspected of involvement in the demonstrations, of providing aid to the injured or possessing pictures of the Dalai Lama, involving the arrest of almost 6000 people and punitive searches of monasteries,
A. considérant que les manifestations qui ont éclaté à Lhassa le 10 mars 2008 à l'occasion du 49 anniversaire du soulèvement national tibétain manqué contre l'administration chinoise, pour s'étendre ensuite à d'autres zones du Tibet, ont été suivies d'une répression brutale de la part de la police et des forces de sécurité chinoises à l'égard de tous ceux qui étaient soupçonnés d'y avoir participé, d'avoir aidé les blessés ou de posséder des photographies du Dalaï Lama, et qu'elles se sont soldées par l'arrestation de quelque 6000 personnes et des perquisitions punitives dans les monastères,
