In addition, it shall identify and assess the actions taken within EFRAG in order to ensure high standards of democratic accountability, transparency, and integrity which, inter alia, concern public access to documents, open dialogue with European institutions and various stakeholders, the establishment of mandatory transparency registers and rules on transparency of stakeholders' meetings as well as internal rules, in particular prevention of conflict of interests.

In addition, with a view to ensuring high-quality accounting standards and high standards of transparency, accountability and integrity, the report shall identify and assess actions taken within the IFRS Foundation which, inter alia, concern public access to documents, open dialogue with European institutions and various stakeholders, rules on transparency of stakeholders' meetings, and the establishment of transparency registers.

Welcomes the positive spirit in which all participants in the inter-Congolese pre-dialogue meeting approached the discussions in Gaborone and, while deploring the lack of progress in Addis Ababa, strongly urges all Congolese parties to continue working in the same spirit of compromise and conciliation at the next meeting of the inter-Congolese dialogue scheduled to resume at the end of January 2002 in Sun City, South Africa;

M. deploring the fact that the meeting of the inter-Congolese dialogue held on 15 October 2001 in Addis Ababa could not build on the success of the pre-dialogue held in Gaborone, Botswana, from 20 to 24 August 2001, which had given a new impetus to national reconciliation by reflecting the participants' shared desire to put an end to the war, preserve the country's independence and unity and establish democracy,

The European Union therefore welcomes the holding of the meeting in Gaborone on 20 August, and urges all those participants in the inter-Congolese dialogue who have been invited by the facilitator, Mr Masire, to go to that meeting and to take part in proceedings in a constructive spirit.
Dès lors, l'Union européenne se félicite de la tenue de la réunion de Gaborone le 20 août, et encourage vivement tous les participants au dialogue intercongolais, conviés par le facilitateur M. Masire, à s'y rendre et à participer aux travaux dans un esprit constructif.

In this connection, the European Union notes with satisfaction that the next inter-Congolese dialogue meeting will be held in Addis Ababa starting on 15 October 2001.
