Calls for the criminal charges against the NGOs and political foundations to be dropped immediately; calls on the Egyptian authorities to ensure that any inspections of domestic or foreign civil society organisations are carried out on the basis of full transparency and impartiality, and in keeping with appropriate legal procedures and international standards in the area of human rights and fundamental freedoms; considers that these tactics constitute a severe violation of the right to freedom of association, as provided for in Article 22 of the ICCPR; calls on the Egyptian authorities to adopt a new law on association based on international human rights standards, in close consultation with NGOs and human rights and pro-democracy groups; expresses its full support for the commitment shown and the important and high-quality work carried out by these organisations in support of civil society and the Egyptian people in order to promote peace, democracy and human rights;

30. regrette le recours massif à l'allocation gratuite de quotas alors que plusieurs études récentes montrent qu'elle peut générer d'importants profits indus pour certaines entreprises et qu'elle n'empêche pas les entreprises bénéficiaires de délocaliser tout ou partie de leur production; demande qu'en cas de délocalisation totale ou partielle, les quotas alloués soient immédiatement restitués et qu'une partie d'entre eux abonde un fonds de transformation sociale et écologique des zones d'activité abandonnées;

Regrets the widespread recourse to the free allocation of allowances since a number of recent studies show that this can produce substantial undue profits for certain companies and does not prevent beneficiary companies from relocating all or part of their production; demands that allocated allowances are immediately returned in cases of partial or full relocation and that a proportion of these are paid into a fund for the social and ecological transformation of abandoned areas of activity;

À la suite de ces arrestations, la troïka européenne à Khartoum a entrepris des démarches auprès des autorités soudanaises pour exprimer la profonde préoccupation de l’UE au sujet de ces arrestations et insister pour que le personnel de MSF soit immédiatement libéré et que les poursuites à leur égard soient abandonnées.
