UNDERTAKES to carry out impact assessments on substantive Council amendments to legislative proposals, building on the experience from the pilot project which was carried out under the Dutch Presidency, on the follow-up proposals contained in the Presidency Report to the March Competitiveness Council and on an interinstitutional common approach on impact assessment, and in this context WELCOMES the prospect of an agreement on such an approach by June 2005. UNDERTAKES, furthermore, to pursue work at interinstitutional level and to review the issue before the end of 2006, based on further experience gained;
