In concrete terms and apart from the projects that have already been identified, the Commission is asking the Twelve for clear political support so that it can, in conjunction with all the parties concerned, pursue four essential lines of action: - the regular establishment of trans-European network master plans for transport, energy and telecommunications; - preparation of an annual European standardization programme in order to ensure network interoperability and prevent the emergence of divergent national standards; - collection of all the necessary data for evaluating network requirements and identifying the technical and financial constraints hindering network development; - execution of feasibility studies to identify projects of European interest.
