Madam Speaker, I must once again remind my fellow member, who sits on the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights and whom I respect a great deal despite the fact that we do not belong to the same political party, that practically the only offence identified in the bill is when a service provider is informed that it is hosting a child pornography website and that service provider fails to report the site to the organization that will be created and also fails to preserve the data.

My fellow committee members and I agree that it is an excellent report that we should be very proud of, and once again, I move that the report be adopted.

I have made a detailed analysis of the possible effect on the Baltic States. Taking into account everything that has been said already, I call on my fellow Members to reject my report, as the Committee on Transport and Tourism has done, and at the same time I call on my fellow Members to support the package approach for the other three pieces of legislation and to support them in the wording approved by the Committee on Transport and Tourism.

- (NL) Madame la Présidente, je voudrais m'associer au point à la motion de procédure de Mme Lynne, mais je voudrais vous demander de reprendre le contact et j'en appelle aussi à mes collègues grecs afin qu'ils veillent à ce que ces "spotters", qui, en raison de leur hobby, sont emprisonnés en Grèce depuis cinq semaines déjà, soient amenés à comparaître avant vendredi prochain ; en effet, un congé de trois semaines approche et ces jeunes gens, ces "spotters" qui pratiquaient leur hobby, risquent d'être emprisonnés sept à huit semaines sans comparution.

I would therefore ask you and my fellow Greek MEPs kindly to exert some political pressure to ensure that these spotters can have a court hearing before next Friday.

– (FR) Mr President, I shall add my voice to those of my fellow Members who have congratulated Mr Huhne on the undeniably high quality of his report and on his feeling for compromise. If the report is adopted, these qualities will allow decisive progress to be made in one important aspect of the unification of financial markets.
