Une importante directive européenne (Directive européenne 2010/32) 3 promulguée le 10 mai 2010 pour la prévention des accidents par piqûre dans le secteur hospitalier a été élaborée sur base d’une convention collective de travail (CCT) entre la « European Federation of Public Service Unions » (EFPSU) et la « European Hospital and Healthcare Employers’ Association » (HOSPEEM).
