Sumatriptan mag niet toegediend worden aan patiënten die een myocardinfarct hebben doorgemaakt of die ischemisch hartlijden, Prinzmetal angina/coronaire vaatspasmen of perifeer vaatlijden vertonen of patiënten die symptomen of tekens hebben die overeenstemmen met ischemisch hartlijden.
