Until some ten years ago, prevention in mental health care was at its beginnings in Flanders, but for the last couple of years a change has been taking place, especially in the field of depression and suicide prevention, with e.g. the Gezondheidsconferentie (Health Conference) and the CGG’s Project Suicidepreventie (Suicide Prevention Project) resulting in numerous initiatives being taken.

Given its e-learning strategy, the project has contributed to setting up a helpdesk and interactive thematic training courses on the prevention of suicide (iTOL) for general practitioners; CGG project workers also act as facilitators in these training cycles.
Dans la stratégie d’e-learning, le projet a aidé au développement du helpdesk pour les médecins généralistes et les cours de formation thématiques interactifs pour médecins généralistes (iTOL) sur la prévention du suicide; des collaborateurs de projets des CGG interviennent également comme facilitateurs dans ces cycles de formation.
