Until some ten years ago, prevention in mental health care was at its beginnings in Flanders, but for the last couple of years a change has been taking place, especially in the field of depression and suicide prevention, with e.g. the Gezondheidsconferentie (Health Conference) and the CGG’s Project Suicidepreventie (Suicide Prevention Project) resulting in numerous initiatives being taken.
