Je dois dire que, même si nous assistons à beaucoup de souffrances humaines dans les régions concernées, je pense que le travail très intensif mené par l'Union a contribué à en limiter l'ampleur et à ce que nous puissions apercevoir, au terme de quelques semaines extrêmement difficiles, une réelle éclaircie dans une situation par ailleurs des plus sombres.
I must say that although we are seeing a lot of human suffering in the areas in question, I still believe that the Union’s very active work has helped limit the suffering and that now, following some very difficult weeks, we can actually see a light in an otherwise very gloomy situation.
