Je suis parfaitement consciente du travail réalisé par les corapporteures, Mme Jiménez-Becerril Barrio et Mme Romero López, ainsi que par la commission des droits de la femme et de l’égalité des genres et la commission des libertés civiles, de la justice et des affaires intérieures, qui ont grandement valorisé le travail en cours afin d’améliorer la protection des victimes.
I am fully aware of the work of the co-rapporteurs, Ms Jiménez-Becerril Barrio and Ms Romero López, and of both the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality and the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, who have added a lot of value to the ongoing work in order to improve the protection of victims.

Je voudrais tout particulièrement féliciter les deux rapporteures, Mme Jiménez-Becerril Barrio et Mme Romero López, pour avoir accompli un travail diligent et s’être attaquées aux nombreux problèmes rencontrés au sein du Conseil pour faciliter la voie à cette proposition particulièrement importante visant à un espace de liberté, de justice et de sécurité véritablement au service des citoyens.
In particular, I should like to congratulate the two rapporteurs, Mrs Jiménez-Becerril Barrio and Mrs Romero López, on their diligent work and on tackling the many problems encountered in the Council to smooth the way for this particularly important proposal, for an area of freedom, justice and security that will really serve citizens.
