Comme je l'ai dit, le premier sujet d'inquiétude se rapporte à la déclaration qu'il a faite pendant la campagne électorale, à savoir que les forces françaises se retireraient d'Afghanistan à la fin de cette année 2012. Il pense également que la participation de la France à la structure militaire de l'OTAN n'a pas produit tous les avantages politiques et autres que le président Sarkozy avait promis, suggérant ainsi qu'il souhaitait peut-être réviser l'engagement de la France.
The immediate concern has been his announcement, as I said, during the campaign that French forces might withdraw from Afghanistan by the end of 2012, the end of this year, and his suggestion that perhaps France's full participation in NATO's military structure has not achieved all the political dividends and other dividends that President Sarkozy alleged, suggesting there might be some kind of review.
