De là les propositions de la Commission sur "la gestion de l'entrée gérée dans l'UE de personnes ayant besoin d'une protection internationale et sur le renforcement des capacités de protections des régions d'origine", communication sur laquelle le Comité des régions, par le biais de son rapporteur Istvan Serto-Radics, maire d'Uszka (HU/ELDR), a présenté un avis adopté par la session plénière à l'unanimité, le 14 avril dernier.

Le commissaire Balázs s'est félicité que les nouveaux États membres aient entamé dès le début de 2004 la publication d’appels à propositions de projets et a constaté avec satisfaction que le volume et la qualité des projets présentés étaient encourageants.
Commissioner Balázs appreciated that the new Member States have started early in 2004 to launch the call for project proposals and welcomed the fact that the volume and the quality of projects submitted is encouraging.
