Comme je l’ai dit dans mon intervention d’ouverture, en réponse à la question posée par Mme Berès au nom de la commission des affaires économiques et monétaires, il y a deux volets distincts.

- (ES) Monsieur le Président, après avoir félicité Mme Jensen pour l'excellent travail réalisé et l'avoir remerciée, permettez-moi de commencer mon intervention en rappelant que dimanche dernier, en Galice - mon pays -, un ancien collègue de ce Parlement européen, Manuel Fraga Iribarne, fondateur du parti populaire en Espagne, a obtenu pour la quatrième fois consécutive la majorité absolue lors des élections du parlement galicien.
– (ES) Mr President, after first congratulating and thanking Mrs Jensen for her good work, I would like to start my speech with reference to the fact that last Sunday, in Galicia – my country – a former Member of this European Parliament, Manuel Fraga Iribarne, founder of the Spanish Popular Party, obtained, for the fourth time running, an absolute majority in the elections to the Galician Parliament.

- (ES) Monsieur le Président, Mesdames, Messieurs, je souhaiterais commencer mon intervention en m'associant à la protestation adressée par Mme Berès, parce qu'il est absurde d'engager un débat, par ailleurs très intéressant, sur le Pacte de stabilité et de croissance et sur les conclusions du Conseil Écofin à Liège, de parler ensuite de la télévision sans frontières et de revenir aux rapports de Mmes Berès et Peijs, qui sont, selon moi, une suite logique du premier débat.
– (ES) Mr President, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to begin my intervention by agreeing with Mrs Berès’s complaint, because it really makes no sense to have held a debate, which is otherwise very interesting, on the Growth and Stability Pact and on the conclusions of the ECOFIN in Liège, to have debated ‘television without frontiers’ in the middle and now to hold what I believe to be a logical continuation of the first debate, the reports by Mrs Berès and Mrs Peijs, to whom I would like to say, on behalf of the Liberal Group, that they have our support and favourable vote.

- (PT) Monsieur le Président, mon intervention est en fait une invocation du règlement, de la même manière que mon collègue, je regrette que Mme Buitenweg se soit lancée dans des manœuvres de sabotage et je voudrais réagir contre les affirmations réitérées, que nous avons entendues de la bouche de Mme Buitenweg, de Mme Van Lancker et de M. Howitt, qui sont des accusations de sabotage alors que c'est Mme Buitenweg elle-même qui a mené le mouvement de sabotage du fonctionnement de cette Assemblée.
– (PT) Mr President, I rise to make a point of order along exactly the same lines as my fellow Member. I regret that Mrs Buitenweg has involved herself in sabotage tactics and I would like to respond to the repeated claims we have heard from Mrs Buitenweg, Mrs Van Lancker and Mr Howitt, who are accusing others of sabotage, when, in fact, it has been Mrs Buitenweg herself who has been at the forefront of the action to sabotage the functioning of this Chamber.
