À la lumière des faits que je viens d'énoncer, si le gouvernement est sérieux dans la promotion des intérêts du Québec, madame le ministre pourrait-elle nous dire si, devant cette manifestation massive des élus municipaux et de la communauté internationale, le gouvernement serait prêt à réexaminer sa position et à démontrer le courage politique nécessaire pour admettre qu'il a eu tort et permettre à l'avenir à sa ministre de l'Environnement de s'adresser à la RCM sans être obligée de se défiler à la dernière minute?
In light of what I have just said, if the government is serious about promoting the interests of Quebec, could the minister tell us whether, given the strong expression of support by municipal officials and the international community, the government would be prepared to re-examine its position and to show the necessary political courage to admit that it was wrong and to allow the Minister of the Environment to address the federation in future without having to duck out at the last minute?
