Si je peux en parler brièvement, mon amendement fait suite aux observations du professeur Ziegel qui nous a dit, lorsqu'il est venu témoigner, que le libellé de l'alinéa 52.1(3)d) proposé avait besoin d'être modifié car il suggérait qu'il ne serait pas répréhensible de se servir de télémarketing pour vendre un produit à un prix largement supérieur à sa juste valeur marchande, dans la mesure où l'acheteur ne serait pas tenu de payer avant la livraison du produit.
If I may speak to it very briefly, I'm making reference to the statements made by Professor Ziegel, when he was a witness, when he stated that the proposed text of paragraph 52.1(3)(d) needs amending because it suggests that it is not objectionable to use telemarketing to sell a product at a price grossly in excess of its fair market value, so long as the purchaser is not required to pay the price prior to delivery of the product.
