Les objectifs de la Commission restent les mêmes que ceux des propositions initiales d'août 1987 : - rapprocher les taux de TVA et les accises dans la Communauté; - éliminer les frontières fiscales incompatibles avec un véritable marché unique.
The Commission's objectives remain the same as those which prompted its initial proposals of August 1987, namely: - approximation of the VAT and excise duty rates applicable in the Community; - removal of tax frontiers incompatible with a genuine single market.
