One of the things they pointed out repeatedly throughout that experience was that Canada is seen as being a leader in services to the disabled community, and in no small part because of our Charter of Rights, because of the foundation the charter gives explicitly in terms of the protection of equality under the law, without discrimination based on physical disability.
