’hier était si important, je ne comprends pas pourquoi, en tant que président d’un intergroupe, je n’ai été mis au courant de ce débat en plénière qu’à 11h10, alors que d’autres députés l’ont appris entre 8h30 et 11 heures. Je n’approuve pas que l’on annule des réunions
si tard, pour voir ensuite le président, qui en a donné l’ordre, porter un toast à des invités à 16h15 dans la cour de
la tour, alors que nous étions ...[+++] tenus d’être en plénière à cette heure-là et que nous n’
étions pas autorisés à nous réunir dans les intergroupes, les groupes de travail et d’autres organes. C’est pour moi une attitude inacceptable.
While I very definitely do see why yesterday’s debate was so important, I do not understand why I, as chairman of an intergroup, was informed as late as 11.10 a.m that it was due to be held, while other Members were notified between 8.30 a.m and 11 a.m. Nor am I sympathetic when cancellations occur at such short notice and the President, who had given this instruction, was seen, at 4.15 p.m. in the courtyard within the tower, toasting a number of visitors, at a time when we were required to be in the plenary and were not allowed to gather in the intergroups, working parties and other bodies.
