Several Member States, particularly the countries under a structural adjustment programme and those under close market scrutiny, are undertaking major structural reforms, including of their labour markets.
Verschillende lidstaten, in het bijzonder de landen met een programma voor structurele aanpassing en de landen die door de markten scherp in het oog worden gehouden, voeren ingrijpende sociale hervormingen door, ook van hun arbeidsmarkt.

Within the framework of Community instruments intended to buttress structural adjustment programmes in the Mediterranean countries – and in close coordination with the Lebanese authorities and other contributors, in particular the international financial institutions – the Community will examine suitable ways of supporting structural policies carried out by Lebanon to restore financial equilibrium in all its key aspects and create an economic environment conducive to boosting growth, while at the same time enhancing social welfare.

(43) The EC has first started to provide budget support to economic reform programmes to ACP countries some 15 years ago in the context of structural adjustment programmes agreed by the countries with the Bretton Woods Institutions.

6. The preparation, appraisal and financing decision for structural adjustment programmes shall be carried out according to the provisions on implementation procedures of this Agreement with due regard to the quick disbursing feature of structural adjustment programmes.
