REFERRING to Council Regulation (EC) No 539/2001(1), and in particular Article 1(2) in conjunction with Annex II thereof, exempting holders of a "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region" passport from the requirement, for stays of no more than three months in all, to be in possession of a visa when crossing the external borders of the Member States of the European Union,

30. Instructs its President to forward this resolution to the Council, the Commission, the governments of the Member States, the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
