TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

This policy framework needs to better reflect the strategic objectives of the Union, both external and internal and to translate them into concrete proposals for the development of our key partnerships (notably EU-Africa, Eastern Partnership, EuroMed Partnership and the enlargement countries).

28. Stresses that the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (EMPA) should play a significant role in the promotion of a dialogue with all the parties concerned; calls for a strengthened role of the Euromed partnership and supports the request by the EMPA Bureau to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Euromed Council of Foreign Ministers of the Barcelona Process as soon as possible;

Regionally, the issue is addressed e.g.. through the Euromed energy cooperation, the Baku process with partners in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, and in the framework of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership. Multilaterally, the establishment of the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation was endorsed last June by the G8 and the Community[36].
Regionaal komt het thema aan de orde in het kader van de samenwerking inzake energie binnen Euromed, het Baku-proces met partners in Oost-Europa, de Kaukasus en Centraal-Azië, en het energiepartnerschap tussen Afrika en de EU. The ENP will provide ways and means to deepen trade liberalisation and regional integration in coherence with the Euromed partnership.

14. Calls for the Euromed partnership to be geared to implementing a policy of economic openness and internal liberalisation in the partner countries, together with a sustainable endogenous development policy geared to the needs of Mediterranean countries;

As regards the Partnership Programme between the Council of Europe and the European Commission on European Youth Worker Training, the Commission proposes paying special attention to the efficient use of the competencies and tools at the disposal of the Partnership, e.g. by strengthening the network of trainers who participated in the training measures and capitalising on synergies between the three fields of cooperation (training, research, Euromed) with the Council of Europe.
