In the first session of the 38Parliament, Senator Eymard G. Corbin proposed an amendment to Rule 32 of the Rules of the Senate, whereby a senator desiring to address the Senate in Inuktitut, upon giving at least four hours' notice to the Clerk of the Senate, would be able to do so, with the remarks to be printed in the Debates of the Senate and the Journals of the Senate in English and French with a notation that they had been delivered in Inuktitut.
Au cours de la première session de la 38législature, le sénateur Eymard G. Corbin a proposé une modification à l'article 32 du Règlement du Sénat, selon laquelle un sénateur qui désire s'adresser à la Chambre en inuktitut doit en aviser le Greffier du Sénat au moins quatre heures avant le début de la séance, et les paroles prononcées en inuktitut sont publiées dans les Débats du Sénat ainsi que dans les Journaux du Sénat, en français et en anglais, avec mention qu'elles ont été prononcées en inuktitut.
