7. Where the competent authority of a Member State refuses to grant an authorisation, or annul, suspend, substantially limit or revoke an authorisation in accordance with paragraph 5, the Member State shall notify the other Member States and the Commission thereof and share the relevant information with them, while complying with the provisions concerning the confidentiality of such information of Council Regulation (EC) No 515/97 of 13 March 1997 on mutual assistance between the administrative authorities of the Member States and cooperation between the latter and the Commission to ensure the correct application of the law on customs and agricultural matters (15).
7. The European Parliament resolution of 13 June 2001 (B5-0405, 0406, 0408 and 0409/2001) on the preparation of the European Council in Göteborg, and most particularly paragraph 12 thereof, which makes explicit reference, in the following terms, to the fact that the European Parliament did not have time to give its opinion on the specific proposals contained in the Communication referred to in the previous recital: ‘welcomes the Commission’s consultation paper for the preparation of a European Union strategy for sustainable development, but regrets that it was not forwarded to the European Parliament in time for it to give its opinion on the specific proposals contained therein’.
