Following the exchange of opinions that we had with Mr Rehn during April’s plenary, my fellow Members, Mr Brok and Mr Van Orden, and I thought that it would be helpful if Parliament were to keep itself informed, on the one hand, of the arguments put forward by the Commission in terms of setting the date on which these two countries will join and, on the other hand, of the nature of the monitoring process of which their reforms are, and will be, the subject.
À la suite de l’échange de vues que nous avons eu avec Olli Rehn lors de la plénière d’avril, nous avons, mes collègues Brok et Van Orden et moi-même, pensé qu’il serait bon que le Parlement puisse se tenir informé, d’une part, des arguments que la Commission met en avant pour fixer le calendrier de l’adhésion de ces deux pays et, d’autre part, de la nature du processus de monitoring dont leurs réformes font et feront l’objet.
