The appointment process becomes so important because the concept of judicial independence means that after a judge is appointed, I will not use the word `untouchable,'' but I tell you that for the removal of a judge from office under section 99 of the Constitution, where security of tenure is guaranteed, they must come before Parliament.
Le processus de nomination devient tellement important parce que l'indépendance judiciaire signifie qu'un juge, une fois nommé, je ne vais pas utiliser le mot « intouchable », mais je puis vous dire que pour révoquer un juge aux termes de l'article 99 de la Loi constitutionnelle, qui garantit la permanence, il faut en faire la demande devant le Parlement.
