Jean-Pierre Bemba, le RCD-ML, le RCD-N ainsi que par la plupart des délégués représentant des groupes de l'opposition non armée et la société civile; regrette que les partis de l'opposition démocratique tels que l'UDPS, FONUS, PALU et MNC-L, ainsi que d'autres partis et plate formes représentatives de la société civile, n'aient pas signé l'accord du 19 avril 2002; appuie les efforts déployés par le représentant spécial de l'Union européenne pour associer à cet accord l'Alliance pour la protection du dialogue inter-congolais, laquelle comprend le RCD-Goma et cinq partis de l'opposition non armée;

Welcomes the ‘Political agreement on consensual management of the transition in the DRC’, signed on 19 May 2002 between the DRC government, the MLC of Mr Jean-Pierre Bemba, DRC-ML, DRC-N and by most delegates representing unarmed opposition groups and civil society; supports the European Union Special Representative's efforts to bring the Alliance for the Protection of the inter-Congolese Dialogue, which includes DRC-Goma and five unarmed opposition parties, into this agreement;
5. se félicite de "l'accord politique sur une gestion consensuelle de la transition en RDC" signé le 19 mai 2002 par le gouvernement de la RDC, le MLC de M. Jean-Pierre Bemba, le RCD-ML, le RCD-N ainsi que par la plupart des délégués représentant des groupes de l'opposition non armée et la société civile; appuie les efforts déployés par le représentant spécial de l'Union européenne pour associer à cet accord l'Alliance pour la protection du dialogue inter-congolais, laquelle comprend le RCD-Goma et cinq partis de l'opposition non armée;

Paragraph 5 would therefore read as follows: “Welcomes the political agreement on the consensus for transition in the DRC signed on 19 April 2002 by the Government of the DRC, the MLC of Jean Pierre Bemba, the RDC-ML, the RDC-N and other delegates of the unarmed opposition and civil society; regrets that the opposition parties (UDPS, FONUS, PALU and MNCL), and other parties and platforms representing civil society have not signed the Agreement of 19 April and supports the efforts of the special representative of the European Union to move forward the Alliance for the Protection of the Inter-Congolese dialogue, which includes the RCD-Goma and five unarmed opposition parties to this agreement”.
Le point 5 se présenterait donc comme suit : "Se félicite de l'accord politique sur le consensus pour la transition en RCD signé le 19 avril 2002 entre le gouvernement de la RDC, le MLC de Jean Pierre Bemba, le RDC-ML, le RDC-N et d'autres représentants de l'opposition non armée et de la société civile ; regrette que les partis de l'opposition (UDPS, FONUS, PALU et MNC/L), ainsi que d'autres partis et plates-formes représentant la société civile, n'aient pas signé l'accord du 19 avril et soutient les efforts du représentant spécial de l'Union européenne de mener à bien l'alliance pour la protection du dialogue intercongolais incluant le RCD-Goma et cinq partis de l'opposition non armée dans cet accord".

It firmly supports the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1399 (2002) following the taking of Moliro by RCD-Goma and welcomes the resumption of the Inter Congolese Dialogue talks in Sun City.
Elle soutient fermement la résolution 1399 (2002) du Conseil de sécurité des Nations Unies, adoptée à la suite de la prise de Moliro par le RCD-Goma, et se félicite que le dialogue intercongolais ait repris à Sun City.
