He regretted that the Council had been slow to work energetically on these proposals and that the users, both in industry and service tourism were continuing to pay the penalty i.e. excessive fares as a result of the lack of Mr Sutherland called upon European airlines to be ready to accept an adequate degree of competition which would result in greater efficiency all round".
