An external access step, fixed or moveable, shall have a maximum height of 230 mm between steps and a minimum depth of 150 mm. If a step board is fitted and it is an extension of a door sill outside the vehicle, and there is no change in level between the step board and the floor of the vehicle, this shall not be considered to be a step for the purposes of this specification.
Les marches d'accès extérieur, fixes ou amovibles, ont une hauteur maximale de 230 mm entre elles, et une profondeur minimale de 150 mm. Si un marchepied est installé et constitue une prolongation du seuil d'une porte à l'extérieur de la voiture, et qu'il n'y a pas de différence de niveau entre ce marchepied et le plancher de la voiture, il n'est pas considéré comme une marche aux fins de la présente spécification.
