In zijn rapport “Well-being at work: creating a positive work environment” (Welzijn op het werk: Het creëren van een positieve werkomgeving), onderzocht het Europees Agentschap voor veiligheid en gezondheid op het werk (EU-OSHA) de verschillende benaderingen en interpretaties van het welzijn op het werk tussen 30 landen van Europa.
Dans son rapport « Well-being at work: creating a positive work environment » (Bien-être au travail: créer un environnement de travail positif), l’Agence européenne pour la sécurité et la santé au travail (EU-OSHA) a examiné les différentes approches et interprétations du bien-être au travail parmi 30 pays d’Europe.

According to the WHO, eight domains have been identified in which this type of action can be taken, i.e. making employers more aware of mental health issues, identifying the common goals and positive aspects of the job, creating a balance between job demand and professional competence, training social competence, improving the psychosocial climate in the work place, giving advice to employees, improving the ability to work as well as strategies for early rehabilitation, improving work opportunities.
Selon l’OMS, huit domaines d’action ont été recensés à cet égard: sensibilisation accrue de l’employeur aux problèmes de santé mentale; identification de buts communs et d’aspects positifs du travail; équilibrage entre la demande d’emploi et les compétences professionnelles; formation aux aptitudes sociales; développement du climat psychosocial du lieu de travail; conseils dispensés aux travailleurs; amélioration de la capacité de travail et stratégies de réadaptation précoce, amélioration des opportunités d’emploi.

The aim of the working group is to raise awareness and improve the care provided for the bereaved, as well as to make it possible to talk about “mourning after a suicide” in our society, thus reducing the taboo surrounding this subject.
Le but du Groupe de travail est de sensibiliser, d’améliorer la prise en charge des proches et de faire en sorte qu’on puisse parler dans notre société du thème « le deuil après un suicide » afin de réduire ainsi le tabou.

It triggered a tremendous amount of positive reactions and led to a record number of visitors on the website. This radio spot was made by the working group Verder, in co-operation with individuals bereaved by suicide (including the actor Pol Goossen) and the production house La Vita e Media. It also had the support of the Flemish Minister of Well- Being, Public Health and Family.

Since 2002, the working group Verder has organised a “Dag van de Nabestaanden na Zelfdoding” each year, i.e. a day devoted to a conference and meetings for those bereaved by suicide as well as for health professionals, and which about 350 to 400 people attend each year.
Depuis 2002, le groupe de travail Verder organise chaque année un « Dag van de Nabestaanden na Zelfdoding », une journée de conférence et de rencontre pour les proches après un suicide et pour les professionnels des soins. Chaque année environ 350 – 400 personnes participent à cette journée.

It groups together the associations and organisations working in the field of mourning, as well as family planning services that have accepted to integrate this activity within the services they offer.
Cette structure rassemble les associations et organisations actives dans le domaine du deuil ainsi que des plannings familiaux ayant accepté d’intégrer cette activité au sein des services qu’ils proposent.
