‘Event-related potentials’ (ERP) worden op dezelfde manier als de EP’s gemeten, maar de geteste persoon moet daarbij ook een bepaalde prikkel van andere onderscheiden.
Les potentiels évoqués (PE) enregistrent les modifications de l’activité neurologique après administration de stimuli comme des sons, des éclairs lumineux ou une stimulation électronique de la peau. Les ‘Event-related potentials’ (ERP) sont mesurés de la même façon que les PE mais la personne testée doit en plus discerner un stimulus déterminé parmi d’autres.
