De kwaliteit van de veiligheidsinformatiebladen of ‘Safety Data Sheets’ (SDS), de naleving van de verplichte kennisgeving en registratie moeten verbeteren.
La qualité des fiches de données de sécurité (FDS) et le respect des obligations de notification et d'enregistrement doivent s'améliorer.

Sinds december 2010 laat de Europese REACH-verordening over chemische stoffen (verordening nr. 453/2010 van 20 mei 2010) toe de ‘control banding’ benadering te gebruiken om de beheersmaatregelen vast te leggen in uitgebreide veiligheidsinformatiefiches (extended Safety Data Sheets).
Depuis décembre 2010, le Règlement européen REACH sur les substances chimiques (règlement n°453/2010 du 20 mai 2010) a permis d’utiliser l’approche «control banding» pour déterminer les mesures de gestion dans des fiches d’information de sécurité élargies (extended Safety Data Sheets).

Bij de controles onderzocht men de conformiteit van de etikettering (vooral de specifieke voorschriften bij zogeheten 'gevaarlijke' producten), de conformiteit van het Material Safety Data Sheet (d.i. het veiligheidsgegevensblad voorzien in artikel 31 van de REACH-verordening 1907/2006), de beschikbaarheid van testen voor biologische afbreekbaarheid, het ecolabel, de aanmelding van het product bij het Antigifcentrum, de betaling van een bijdrage indien nodig, enz. In 2007 werden de fabrikanten en importeurs gecontroleerd.
Les contrôles ont examiné la conformité de l’étiquetage (particulièrement les prescriptions spécifiques lorsqu’il s’agit d’un produit dit « dangereux »), la conformité de la Material Safety Data Sheet (càd la fiche de sécurité prévue par le Règlement REACH 1907/2006 (article 31)), la disponibilité des tests de biodégradabilité, l’écolabel, la notification du produit au Centre Anti-poisons, le paiement de la rétribution dans les cas où celle-ci est nécessaire, etc. En 2007, les contrôles ont porté sur les fabricants et importateurs.
