At the end of August 2007, a second workshop was held with the aim of evaluating the discussions about the chosen spearheads, taking a more detailed look at the organisation’s competencies and starting the reflection exercise about the structure of the FAMHP.

During this meeting the aims and the methods used were explained. About 80 participants belonging to over 40 organisations attended it, with 15 of them giving a public discussion of what they did in order to prevent and treat depression and suicide.
Lors de cette réunion les objectifs et la méthode de travail du projet ont été présentés et environ 80 participants de plus de 40 organisations étaient présents, dont 15 ont présenté leurs activités sur le terrain de la prévention et la prise en charge de la dépression et du suicide.

Since 2002, the working group Verder has organised a “Dag van de Nabestaanden na Zelfdoding” each year, i.e. a day devoted to a conference and meetings for those bereaved by suicide as well as for health professionals, and which about 350 to 400 people attend each year.
Depuis 2002, le groupe de travail Verder organise chaque année un « Dag van de Nabestaanden na Zelfdoding », une journée de conférence et de rencontre pour les proches après un suicide et pour les professionnels des soins. Chaque année environ 350 – 400 personnes participent à cette journée.

To achieve this aim, various types of action are undertaken, not only for the bereaved, health professionals and other organisations in contact with the bereaved, but also for the general public, in order to break the taboo and make it possible to talk about mourning a suicide.
Pour y arriver, des actions sont entreprises pour les proches, les prestataires de soins et autres organisations qui entrent en contact avec les proches, mais également pour le grand public, dans le but de rompre le tabou et de rendre discutable le thème du deuil après un suicide.
