La Première nation de Westbank préconisait fortement la participation du gouvernement local à tous les aspects du processus par le biais des divers comités consultatifs et elle a travaillé de concert avec le Regional District of Central Okanagan et avec la ville de Kelowna afin d'élaborer des protocoles qui nous ont permis d'examiner ensemble, au sein de ces diverses tribunes, les questions d'intérêt mutuel en ce qui a trait au mandat respectif de nos deux gouvernements.
With that, I'm here to say that Westbank First Nation was a strong proponent of keeping local government tied in all along the process through the different advisory committee structure bodies, and worked with both the Regional District of Central Okanagan as well as the City of Kelowna in determining protocols of recognition that brought us together in defined forums to discuss our issues of mutual understanding with regard to issues and tasking our administrations.
