Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Ms. Augustine (Minister of State (Multiculturalism and Status of Women)) for Mr. Cotler (Minister of Justice) , seconded by Ms. Bennett (Minister of State (Public Health)) , Bill C-37, A second Act to harmonize federal law with the civil law of the Province of Quebec and to amend certain Acts in order to ensure that each language version takes into account the common law and the civil law, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
