J. considérant qu'il existe une relation étroite entre la modification de la directive relative à l'institution d'un comité d'entreprise européen, les propositions, actuellement à l'examen, concernant l'information et la consultation au plan national et les compléments apportés au statut de la société européenne pour ce qui concerne la place des travailleurs; considérant également que ces trois textes devront, à moyen terme, dans un souci de clarté et de précision juridiques, comporter des dispositions appropriées relatives à l'information et à la consultation des travailleurs,
J. whereas there is a close link between the revision of the Directive on the establishment of a European works council, the current proposals with regard to information and consultation at national level and the extension of the Statute of the European Company with regard to workers' participation; whereas, furthermore, in the interests of clarity and legal precision these three items of legislation should, in the medium term, include appropriate rules on information and consultation,
