Quant au développement de codes uniques servant à l'identification des OGM, tout en considérant qu'un système développé au niveau international serait préférable, une majorité a évoqué la possibilité d'aller de l'avant dans l'élaboration d'un tel système afin d'éviter un délai excessif dans la mise en place du système de traçabilité à l'intérieur de la Communauté.
While considering that a unique code system developed at the international level to identify GMOs would be preferable, a majority raised the possibility of taking forward the development of such a system in order to avoid excessive delay in implementing a traceability system within the Community.
