La Commission européenne s'est opposée, pour des raisons de concurrence, au projet d'acquisition du fabricant finlandais de produits en papier tissu Metsä Tissue par son concurrent suédois SCA Mölnlycke. L'opération aurait créé ou renforcé des positions dominantes sur les marchés de vingt-six produits d'hygiène en papier tissu en Suède, en Norvège, au Danemark et en Finlande.
The European Commission has blocked the proposed takeover of Finnish tissue paper manufacturer Metsä Tissue by its Swedish competitor SCA Mölnlycke on competition grounds. The operation would have created or strengthened dominant market positions in a total of 26 hygienic tissue products in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
