Monsieur le Président, je remercie mon collègue de ses souhaits pour les 14 prochaines années, mais j'aurais préféré qu'il me souhaite que Mme Marois devienne première ministre du Québec dans la prochaine année et que, d'ici quelques années, nous fassions du Québec un pays souverain, tout en continuant d'être de bons voisins du Canada.
Mr. Speaker, I thank my colleague for his wishes for the next 14 years but I would have preferred that he wished that Ms. Marois would become Premier of Quebec within the next year and that within a few years Quebec would become a sovereign country, while continuing to be good neighbours with Canada.

J’exprime également des réserves à l’égard de la teneur exacte du paragraphe 39, que je considère incompatible avec le rapport rédigé par Mme Mechtild Rothe, approuvé par le Parlement européen il y a environ un mois (cf. rapport Rothe, amendement 2, point 4a (nouveau) (4a), page 6/15).
