It further noted, by way of drawing a parallel with the EDF decision, that La Poste no longer recruited civil servants, that the future pensions payments of La Poste placed it in a comparable situation vis-à-vis its competitors as regards social security contributions and tax payments, and that the obligations resulting from the 1990 Law prior to the liberalisation of the postal sector would have affected La Poste’s competitiveness in an environment undergoing liberalisation.
