On 20 July 2015, the United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution (UNSCR) 2231 (2015) endorsing the JCPOA, urging its full implementation in accordance with the timetable established in the JCPOA and providing for actions to take place in accordance with the JCPOA.

La résolution 2231 (2015) du CSNU prévoit en outre que les mesures imposées dans les résolutions 1696 (2006), 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008), 1835 (2008) et 1929 (2010) du CSNU ne s'appliquent pas dans la mesure nécessaire pour réaliser, dans certaines conditions, des transferts et activités qui sont en rapport avec le respect de certains engagements liés au nucléaire précisés dans le plan d'action, et qui sont nécessaires pour préparer l'application du plan d'action ou qui ont été jugés conformes aux objectifs de la résolution 2231 (2015) du CSNU par le comité du CSNU créé par la résolution 1737 (2006) du CSNU.
UNSCR 2231 (2015) further provides that the measures imposed in UNSCRs 1696 (2006), 1737 (2006), 1747 (2007), 1803 (2008), 1835 (2008) and 1929 (2010) shall not apply to the extent necessary to carry out, under certain conditions, transfers and activities that are related to implementation of certain nuclear-related commitments specified in the JCPOA, required for preparation for the implementation of the JCPOA, or determined by the UN Security Council Committee established pursuant to UNSCR 1737 (2006) to be consistent with the objectives of UNSCR 2231 (2015).

Les États membres prennent les mesures nécessaires pour empêcher l'entrée ou le passage en transit sur leur territoire des personnes désignées et soumises à des restrictions en matière de déplacements par le Conseil de sécurité ou par le comité conformément au paragraphe 22 de la résolution 1970 (2011) du CSNU, au paragraphe 23 de la résolution 1973 (2011) du CSNU, au paragraphe 4 de la résolution 2174 (2014) du CSNU et au paragraphe 11 de la résolution 2213 (2015) du CSNU, dont le nom figure à l'annexe I.
1. Member States shall take the necessary measures to prevent the entry into, or transit through, their territories of persons designated and subjected to travel restrictions by the Security Council or by the Committee in accordance with paragraph 22 of UNSCR 1970 (2011), paragraph 23 of UNSCR 1973 (2011), paragraph 4 of UNSCR 2174 (2014) and paragraph 11 of UNSCR 2213 (2015), as listed in Annex I.
