Nous examinons ce texte aujourd’hui dans le cadre d’une discussion commune parallèlement à deux autres rapports de la commission des affaires juridiques: un rapport sur l’acte authentique européen de M. Medina Ortega, et le rapport sur l’e-justice de M Wallis.
We are dealing with this text today in a joint debate with two other reports from the Committee on Legal Affairs: one on the European authentic act by Mr Medina Ortega, and the e-Justice report by Mrs Wallis.

One remark to finish off; after this plenary debate, the Medina-Ortega Report will be referred back to the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market, where it will be adapted to the interinstitutional agreement.

Je pense - comme M. Medina Ortega l’a signalé à juste titre - que la principale manière dont les initiatives législatives européennes seront simplifiées est qu’à l’avenir, il sera possible de consolider 25 actes juridiques différents en un seul et même acte.
I think – as Mr Medina Ortega rightly pointed out – that the main way in which European legislative initiatives will be simplified is that in the future it will be possible to consolidate 25 different legal acts into one single one.
