Il existe un certain nombre de problèmes - permettez-moi d’être franc à ce sujet: en particulier en Bulgarie - liés aux changements qu’entraînerait dans son sillage le rapport Lulling. Puisque nous voudrions poursuivre nos discussions avec Mme Lulling et avec les représentants des autres groupes sur la possibilité d’atteindre ou non un consensus sur cette question délicate, nous proposons de reporter le débat à la prochaine période de session de Strasbourg.
There are a number of problems – let me be frank about it, particularly in Bulgaria – in connection with the changes that the Lulling report would bring in its wake, and, since we would like to have more talks with Mrs Lulling and also with representatives of the other groups on whether we might not find some consensus on this thorny issue, we move that the debate be deferred to the next part-session in Strasbourg.

Tant dans le cadre du partenariat UE-Afrique «Migration, mobilité et emploi» (MME) que dans celui de l'approche globale sur la question des migrations et celui du processus de suivi des conférences de Rabat, Paris et Tripoli, il faudrait approfondir et intensifier le dialogue sur la question des migrations avec les partenaires africains, en accordant la priorité aux pays situés le long des routes d'immigration clandestine vers l'Europe afin de les aider à élaborer des politiques migratoires et de lutter contre l'immigration clandestine en mer et aux frontières.
Both within the EU-Africa Partnership on Mobility, Migration and Employment (MME) and the Global Approach to Migration, and the follow up process of the Rabat, Paris and Tripoli conferences, the dialogue on migration should be deepened and intensified with African Partners, focussing on countries along the irregular migration routes to Europe with a view to assisting those countries in their efforts to draw up migration policies and responding to illegal immigration at sea and on the borders.

Sachez que la Commission, contrairement à ce qui a pu être dit, prend très au sérieux cette question que Mme Lulling a défendue avec véhémence et compétence et que M. Souchet avait posée avec elle.

The Commission has supported the efforts of consumer associations by raising this matter in the context of the CPC-Network of national enforcement bodies and by writing (in a letter from Vice-President Reding of 21 September 2012) to all EU Ministers in charge of consumer affairs, in order to ensure a coordinated enforcement approach where a recurring problem arises in different Member States.

Je suis tout à fait conscient que ce Parlement a eu des opinions divergentes de celles de la Commission sur la question des niveaux de droit d'accises sur le tabac et l'alcool - une question chère à Mme Lulling.
I am very conscious that this Parliament has had its differences with the Commission on the issue of rates of excise duty on tobacco and alcohol – an issue dear to the heart of Mrs Lulling.
